Invernal Soundscapes: A 2nd soundwalk @ AccoLagoon reserve (Epanomi, Thessaloniki, Greece)
Sound storyboard:
Scene #1 [00:00 – 01:18]: beginning of Soundwalk, direction to 2nd trail of reserve.
Observations: two stops in order to focus on ambient sounds. Horizontal rotation of 360º (N’–>W’–>´S–>´N´´) produces that sound often called ´Karma Vortex´ or Eolic noise
Scene#2: [01:18 – 02:40]: crossing of dried mursh and bushes. 2nd stop at sandhill – 2nd horizontal rotation of 360º (N’W´S´N´´)
[03:08]: small airplane invades the sky
[04:42]: invasion repeated. Contrast of sound ambience
[06:33]: walking through a group of small reed-type bushes
[07:35]: big aircraft invasion. Tracking direction with mic (S’E’–>N´W´)
Scene#3: [09:52 – 11:50]: reach of farest point of reserve’s 2nd trail.Stop on sandhill – focus on ambient sounds – start of return
Scene#4: [11:52 – 17:56]
[13:20]: nice biosound..
[14:52] steps on returning trail. Bio sound follows..
[16:54]: the scared flight of the company of 4 grouses..
Remarks (subjective):
*Invasion is noise. Noise is invasion
**Invasion is unavoidable. I have doubts if noise is..
***we hear in a kind of ‘abstraction level’ way..macro to micro-world sounds.
****Time to ‘freeze and focus’ on sound ambience seems more than necessary.
*****what we perceive is much less than what we don’t
